Merley and Oakley Dog Trainer

Merley and Oakley dog trainer can support you with training

As a dog trainer I live locally to Merley and Oakley and can often be seen early morning training my own dog in Fenners Park.

I can help you with recall training and any issues around lead pulling which are common training problems. I like to train these in a live environment so Fenners park is ideal for this. I am happy to review and advise on any concerns you have with your dog. If you are thinking of getting a new puppy and you live in Merley or Oakley then the best time to seek training advice is before you get the dog.

If you have a gun dog breed and want that extra challenge without joining a gun dog club or working them then Muttley Solutions has a purpose training facility for these breeds

Thanks Gary. Your straight forward approach to training (me and the dog) has worked wonders. In a very short space of time we have noticed a marked improvement in recall. We have learnt a lot and look forward to continuing to reap the benefits of your training. Would highly recommend if you're looking for someone down to earth with a wealth of knowledge!

Puppy training and advice

Getting a new puppy can be an exciting time, but it can also be a daunting time as you want to get it right.  Many of the issues we don’t want in a puppy or dog we actually teach and reinforce without realising it. A lot of the puppy and dog training I do is about teaching the owner how not to teach the bad habits in the first place.

The best time to get a puppy trainer on board is before you even get the puppy so that from day one you are doing it the right way so the puppy cannot learn these bad habits and we can start using training techniques the right way.

If you go to group classes it will be from 12 weeks onward.  By this time I like to have the puppy whistle trained and already have a basic recall in place.  We make training a game and the puppy loves it.  It is about very short training duration’s several times a day and this then become the default.
