DOES YOUR DOG HAVE ISSUES WITH:
- POOR RECALL
- LEAD PULLING
- JUMPING UP AT PEOPLE
- IGNORING YOU
- DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOURS
- POOR OBEDIENCE SKILLS?
- SHOWING SIGNS OF DOMINANCE
Perhaps the most common training requests I get are the dog pulling on a lead, recall ,general obedience issues and the dreaded barking.‘ Most can be achieved with patience and input from yourself with my guidance. I don’t train the dog, I work with you and give you the skills so you and your dog can work as a team to achieve the goal. However, rarely is there an instant fix like you see on the TV programmes and there are no guarantees any training will be 100% successful. Any trainer who claims there is a fast-track guaranteed method is woefully wrong and will set your dog up to fail long term.
THE WAY IT WORKS
The first consultation will be to assess the dog and observe the issues you have. This usually lasts around an hour and is conducted at your premises. This allows the dog to act naturally in familiar surroundings. Following this session I will send you a report of my findings and a plan to go forward if relevant.
If you agree to continue then we work to a plan which use the latest training techniques to address the issue. The term ‘Dog Trainer’ can be misleading in that I don’t train the dog, you do. You will have to agree to put the work in daily using the techniques I show you. My role is to support and guide you through the training process so I only need to be there when required to move forward. Free text support is included.
The first thing I will teach you is how to communicate with your dog so it understands what we want. Very few trainers take this approach and to ignore this vital step can impede training progress.
I have weekday dates which you can see availability and book times via the link below. If you require weekend sessions then please contact me directly.
